Powerhouse Hays High used a friendly south wind for a 6-0 lead en route to 7-0 Western Athletic Conference soccer victory over Great Bend.

Hays High's Maggie Robben converted two first-half goals and Indians Madelyn Martin, Kallie Leiker, Taleia McCrae and Allison Shubert scored first-half goals for a 6-0 halftime lead. 

The Panthers had no defensive answers for the Indians. Hays dominated time of possession and field position keyed by a brisk south wind. 

Hays High (6-1-1, 2-0-1 WAC) stays in contention for the WAC title. Great Bend (1-6, 0-5 WAC) travels to Liberal Thursday for another WAC soccer game.
