CLAFLIN — Macksville quarterback Ryan Kuckelman rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns to spark a 42-12 Central Prairie League football victory over Central Plains. Kuckelman scored on 15- and 50-yard runs and completed a 67-yard TD pass to Jason Cleveland. Hector Gomez scored two rushing touchdowns. Macksville (2-0) outscored the Oilers (0-2) 20-0 in the third quarter.

Eli Hurley scored on a 5-yard run. Paxton Dody scored on a 26-yard scoring pass from Evan Stratmann.

HOISINGTON  — Hoisington stuffed Halstead’s offense at the goal-line twice and quarterback Tony Moore scored two touchdowns as the Cardinals shocked the Dragons 28-0 in Friday’s Central Kansas League football game. Halstead drove inside the 5-yard line on the first drive and last drive of the football game.

Moore rushed for 89 yards and scored on 3- and 35-yard runs. Mason Alderdice scored on a 31-yard dash. Ian Smith scored on a 10-yard run and rushed for 80 yards. The Cardinals (1-1) gained 303 rushing yards.

Halstead (1-1) gained 120 yards rushing and 51 yards passing.

CHASE  – Pawnee Heights’  quarterback Davin Hamby rushed for four touchdowns and threw for three touchdowns in a wild 81-60 6-man football victory over the Chase Kats.

Hamby completed two touchdown passes to Dakota Ryan and one to Jimmy Gardner. Hamby rushed for 258 yards, passed for 159 yards and caught a 5-yard scoring pass from Gardner.

Gardner enjoyed a highlight night with five touchdowns, four receiving and one rushing. The Tigers rushed for 403 yards and passed for 164 yards. Gardner accounted for 14 tackles and Hamby had 12 stops.

ELLINWOOD – Two big plays by Douglass paved the way for a 14-0 shutout over Ellinwood in a non-league football game.

Douglas Bulldog Brock Stiner returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown. Quarterback Jordan Stoffel completed a 52-yard touchdown pass to Konnor Kielhorn. The Bulldogs passed for 133 yards and rushed for 70 yards.

Douglass (2-0) won for the second consecutive week. Ellinwood gained 126 yards passing and 41 yards rushing.

STAFFORD — Stafford quarterback Dylan Gantz rushed for three touchdowns and passed for two scores in a wild 46-24 football victory over Pratt Skyline. Gantz passed for 262 yards and rushed for 72 yards.

Colson Minks  caught a touchdown pass and gained 142 yards receiving. Jimi Oleson caught a touchdown pass. Skyline’s Jake Hittle and Brayden Berens scored touchdowns,

ST. JOHN — Ness City’s Danny Guzman scored on an 8-yard run with 1:48 left as the Eagles edged St. John 12-8 in Friday’s Central Prairie League football game. Guzman rushed for 138 yards, intercepted two passes and recovered a St. John fumble. Ness City’s Bryce Flax and Daniel Talamantes also intercepted passes. The Tigers committed five turnovers.

St. John’s Caden McCandless scored on a 3-yard run and converted the 2-pointer for an 8-6 lead with 6:15 left in the fourth quarter. But Ness City strung together the game-winning drive.

OTIS — Kinsley’s Cason Lemuz scored four touchdowns and Conner Chamberlain scored two touchdowns as the Coyotes raced past Otis-Bison 46-0 in Friday’s Central Prairie League football game. Quarterback Peyton Schmidt completed a 49-yard touchdown pass to Lemuz.

Kinsley’s Kaden Arensman had six tackles and three assists. Eston Juno led the Cougars’ defense with four tackles and five assists.
