HOISINGTON BOYS 49, ELLINWOOD 22 — The Hoisington Cardinals played halfcourt, fullcourt and trapping defenses to perfection while rolling past Ellinwood 49-22 in Monday's Hoisington Cardinal Classic. The Cardinals play Pratt in Friday's semifinals.
The three-time defending champions shut out the Eagles 12-0 in the second quarter, holding the Eagles to 0 of 8 field goals. Versatile Mason Haxton played superbly with a solid 17-point game in addition to defense and ballhandling. Drew Nicholson added 15 points.
Ellinwood (3-8) was paced by supersub Tyler Knop with six points.

VICTORIA BOYS 46, OTIS-BISON 42 – No. 8 seed Victoria built a 14-point lead and upset No. 1 seed Otis-Bison 48-42 in Tuesday’s Midwinter Jam. Kaden Oberle led the Knights with 17 points. The Knights made five 3-pointers.
Otis-Bison’s Anton Foust scored 16 points and Jayce Kohls added 10 points.
Victoria (2-8) also upset the Cougars the first time they played. Victoria plays Russell in Friday's semifinals.
