ELLINWOOD – Hutchinson Trinity tailback Gavin Wilson scored three touchdowns as the Celtics dominated the line of scrimmage for a 35-8 District 7 football victory over Ellinwood. Wilson scored on runs of 6, 10 and 14 yards.
Eric Armour scored on a 2-yard run. Jackson Dozier scored on a 33-yard dash for the Celtics.
Ellinwood (3-1, 0-1 District) broke up a shutout when quarterback Drew Heinz rambled 64 yards for a touchdown, keyed by Rylan Wirtz shield block. Bryan Jaske converted the 2-pointer.
Sterling, Conway Springs and Hutchinson Trinity opened with 1A District wins.
