Larks roar past Bat Cats 12-1
Great Bend returns home Tuesday

HAYS — The Hays Larks broke open a 1-0 game with a seven-run sixth inning to roll past the Great Bend Bat Cats 12-1 in Saturday’s Jayhawk League baseball game.
The Bat Cats (0-2) start a three-game home series against the El Dorado Broncos at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Al Burns Field.
Brett Bonar singled home Taylor Langston in the eighth inning for the first run in Bat Cats history. Langston walked and Benjamin Sems followed with a single.
Spencer Packard homered off Alejandro Trejo to start the seven-run sixth. Keone Giivens hit an RBI single. Jon Sobranes’ single drove in two runs. Jacob Boston drilled a two-run homer off pitcher Drew Repp, Packard delivered an RBI double.
