HILLSBORO — Isiah Perez scored 15 points to spark Larned past Hillsboro 43-39 in a Central Kansas league basketball game. Larned’s Derek Delgao iced the victory with two free throws. Larned won the fourth quarter 12-6.
Larned (7-1, 2-0) stayed tied for first place in the Central Kansas League with Hesston and Pratt. Evan Skelton added eight points. Micah Allen led Hillsboro 5-2, 1-1) with 11 points.
The Indians travel to Lyons Tuesday for a CKL game.

Larned (1-7, 0-2) was paced by Haley Skelton with nine points and Kelsey Parr aded seven points.

Steffan Dolechek led Hoisington (2-5, 0-2 CKL) with 10 points. Tyler Specht scored six of his eight points in the fourth quarter, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer. Seth Owen chipped in nine points.

Hoisington’s girls (2-5, 0-2 CKL) started with two of 20 field goals and trailed 29-8 at halftime. Haven cruised past the Cardinals 51-25 Friday.
Haven (6-2, 1-1) led 14-5 after one quarter and used a 17-0 run for a dominating 27-5 lead. Hoisington’s Rylie Koester scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Mikaela Wells scored 13 points. Samantha Stallbaumer paced the Wildcats with 14 points and six steals.
“We continue to struggle executing an offense,” said Hoisington coach Mandy Mason. “We’re not real confident. We’re struggling inside are we’re undersized in those positions.”
