LACROSSE — Larned’s triple champion Brock Skelton sparked a winning 400-meter relay as the Indians won Friday’s LaCrosse Invitational track meet with 124 points.

Skelton swept the long jump (20-41/2), triple jump (42-71/4) and 100 meters (11.41). The 400-meter relay placed first (45.86) with Skelton, Jacob Smith, Chance Sanger and Mason Perez competing.

Larned’s Isiah Marley won the high jump (5-6) and 300m hurdles (46.49). 

St. John’s returning 1A state champion won the 3,200-meter relay (9:14.14) with Eddy Calleros, A.J. Miller, Cashe McVey and Trey Fisher competing. The Tigers quartet Mason Osborne, McVey, Tanner Halling and Fisher won the 1,600-meter relay (3:49.09). Trey Fisher won the 400 (54.02) and Cashe McVey won the 800 (2:11.21).

Central Plains’ Cole Lamatsch earned wins in the (5:21.54) and 3,200 (12:20.85).

Otis-Bison’s Seth Hoopingarner won the javelin (150-3). 

In the girls division, Plainville (107) placed first. St. John (66) placed fourth and Larned (62) finished fifth.

The Central Plains girls won the 3,200-meter relay (11:49.2) with Amelia Bailey, Hannah Redetzke, Monica Short and Callie Zink competing.

Individual winners were St. John’s Darby Smith, 1,600 meters (6:37.89); Larned’s Cierra Nord, 3,200 meters (14:01.68); and past high jump 4A state runner-up Katie Fischer, high jump (4-10).
