DODGE CITY – Larned pitcher Tristan Regan struck out 10 batters to spark the Indians past Dodge City 5-1 in Monday’s Legion baseball doubleheader. Dodge City won the second game 7-3.
LARNED 5, DODGE CITY 1 (G1) – Regan yielded three hits with one walk in a 100-pitch outing.
Larned’s Brady Hope doubled home Deacon Martin and Regan scored on an error in a 2-run fifth inning.
Camden Bird singled in Hope to ignite a 3-run seventh inning. Andres Martinez scored on Carson Shaver’s single. Bird scored on a bases-loaded walk.
Dodge City’s Jace Gifford drove in a run.
DODGE CITY 7, LARNED 3 (G2) – Larned’s Regan and Hope drove in runs. Martin singled twice. Larned pitcher Martin yielded five runs with eight walks.
Dodge City’s Gifford, Tristan Flores, Averoff and Landon Charles drove in runs. Julia Salcido earned the victory.
