LARNED – The Larned Legion baseball team tuned up for postseason play with a sweep over Hays Thomas More Prep 8-5 and 13-2 Monday at Moffett Stadium.

LARNED 8, TMP 5 (G1) – Relievers Owen Reece and Gavin Alvarez each threw three innings after starter Cade Colglazier struggled. Alvarez finished the game with a solid pitching performance with seven strikeouts.

LARNED 13, TMP 2 (G2) – Winning pitcher Dillan Smith settled in after yielding a home run. He drove home four runs with two hits. Shortstop Brady Hope closed out the game with a leaping catch for a double-play at first base.
