LYONS – Larned’s softball team (4-4, 3-3 CKL) dominated the Lyons Lions 18-2, 15-1 in Tuesday’s Central Kansas league doubleheader.
LARNED 18, LYONS 2 (G1) – Larned converted eight walks and six errors into six unearned runs for a run-rule victory. The Indians scored 13 runs in the third inning.
Emma Thompson drove home five runs and Teagan Walker drove in four runs. Madison Reinert drove in two runs. Larned pitcher Karley Lemuz yielded one hit.
LARNED 15, LYONS 1 (G1) – Larned pounded out seven extra-base hits. Camryn Ettleman doubled and drove home three runs. Kenzie Reinert scored three runs and drove home two runs with two doubles.
