LARNED -- Larned's third team all-state Jadyn Crosby has committed to play basketball at Washburn University.

“I am beyond grateful to announce my commitment to continue my academic and basketball career to Ichabod women’s basketball,” Crosby posted on Twitter. “Thank you to my family, coaches, teammates and everyone who has supported me along the way. Most importantly, thank you to God for His guidance and blessings.”

Crosby averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds last year and 13 points and 6 rebounds as a sophomore. She poured in a career-high 28 points against Nickerson.

Crosby was named to the third team on the KSHSAA 3A all-state team and earned first team All-Central Kansas League honors.

The Indians (18-7, 7-2 CKL) finished third in the Central Kansas League. Beloit defeated Larned 61-48 in the 3A substate semifinals.

“Jadyn is an outstanding 3-sport athlete who will be a leader on- and-off the court,” said Larned coach Jared Smith. "We're proud of Jadyn. We can’t wait to see her leave her final mark as an Indian."

Crosby won the Keady Classic 3-point contest last year. Crosby also plays volleyball and softball at Larned.
