WICHITA — Great Bend resident and former Barton Community College relief pitcher Kyle LeRoy is playing for the Northwest Honkers, out of Seattle, in the ongoing NBC World Series at Lawrence Dumont Stadium.
LeRoy pitched for Great Bend High School, graduating in 2009, and completed a two-year stint at Barton this spring under the direction of head coach Mike Warren and assistant coach Brent Biggs.
LeRoy, a converted submarine right-hander, will continue his baseball career this fall when he heads to Fort Hays State University to play for the Tigers.
