LIBERAL — Western Athletic Conference runner-up Liberal swept Great Bend 3-0 and 7-0 in Tuesday's WAC soccer doubleheader. Liberal (8-7, 5-2 WAC) won 3-0 in the resumption of a match delayed by lighting in Great Bend. Liberal won the scheduled game 7-0.

Great Bend (2-11, 0-8 WAC) will finish the regular season at McPherson Thursday.

In the opener, Liberal's Suain Moncayo scored two goals with an assist. Erick Garcia scored a goal.

In the nightcap, Moncayo scored four goals. Garcia and Emmanual Ortuno each scored a goal. Liberal goalie Gael Ruvalcaba recorded a pair of shutouts.
