The Class AAA American Legion Great Bend Chiefs are idle this week.
The Chiefs, who opened their season last weekend in the Tournament of Champions at Manhattan’s Wayne Norvell Field, have a number of baseball players taking part in Bo Black’s Great Bend High School football team camp.
The Chiefs, 0-4, get back on the diamond on Tuesday, traveling to Hays for a doubleheader, starting at 6 p.m.
Great Bend has its home opener at the Great Bend Sports Complex on Thursday, June 13, taking on Salina in a doubleheader, starting at 6.
The 2013 Chiefs Classic is set for Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16, at the Sports Complex.
