The Great Bend Chiefs, a 19-and-under American Legion baseball team, travel to Newton on Thursday.

The Chiefs will be playing a doubleheader with Newton. The first game is set for 5 p.m. and the nightcap is set for 7.

The Chiefs, 5-6 overall, dropped a doubleheader to Pratt (8-2) on Tuesday night at Al Burns Memorial Field. They lost 8-6 in the first game and 19-5 in the second game after the 86ers uncorked a 12-run third inning.

Great Bend will be idle this weekend before playing host to Thomas More Prep-Marian (Hays) on Tuesday, June 21, with 6 p.m. and 8 o'clock games.
