After two days of play, the Salina Hawks sit in the driver’s seat of a Class A American Legion Baseball Zone Tournament at the Great Bend Sports Complex.
The double elimination tournament, which ends today with a championship game, is down to two teams — the Hawks and the Buhler Nationals.
Salina, which entered the tourney with a 17-11 record, beat Pratt 18-2 on Monday and Buhler 10-1 on Tuesday to advance to the title game.
The  Nationals held a tournament-best mark of 23-2 heading into the zone competition. They beat the Thomas More Prep Marian Monarchs 6-1 on Monday before falling to Salina on Tuesday.
Buhler topped the Monarchs 5-4 on Tuesday to get the championship game.
Due to the double elimination format, if Buhler defeats Salina there will be a second title game to determine which team wins the title.
