GENE KEADY CLASSIC

MACKSVILLE 56, HOISINGTON 42

LARNED – Macksville outscored Hoisington 15-0 en route to a 56-42 championship victory over the Cardinals in the Gene Keady Basketball Classic finals.

It was perfect teamwork as Alvaro Ibarra scored five points, Hector Gomez and Rogelio Ibarra hit 3-pointers and Alexis Barron and Most Valuable Player Ryan Kuckelman hit 2-pointers for a 42-23 lead. The Mustangs hit eight consecutive shots. Gomez and Barron earned all-tournament honors. Macksville's Rogelio Ibarra scored 19 points. 

All-tournament Bralen Thompson scored 16 points and Leyton Haxton added 12 points.

LARNED – St. John's All-Tournament Elijah Delp broke loose for a season high 24 points and Marco Ibarra scored 12 points as the Tigers raced past Kinsley 64-51 for third place in the Gene Keady Basketball Classic.

LARNED – Bucklin converted a Keady Classic record 16 3-pointers and raced past Larned 71-22 in Saturday's seventh place game of the Gene Keady Basketball Classic. Bucklin's all;-tourney Scott Price scored 18 points and Kolson Cook added 17 points.

Talon Reynolds, Thiago Hess and Cade Colglazier each scored five points for Larned (0-4).
