National Ironkids Triathlon Championships
Four local youths traveled to Des Moines, Iowa, on Sept. 17 to compete in the National Ironkids Triathlon Championships. In the 8-year-old division, Isaac Mountain, above, surpassed 63 other competitors to clench the national title. Jordan Davis Mountain finished ninth out of 59 youths in the 10-year-old division. Jade Mountain competing in the 11-year-old division, which had the toughest competition of all the age categories, reached the podium with a fifth-place finish out of 73 racers. Competing for the first time at a national event in the 14-year-old division, Jordan Lee Mountain finished 33rd.
