Central Plains football will join Chase, Otis Bison, Sylvan Grove, Tescott, Victoria, Wilson in Eight-Man 2, District 5 in 2020 and 2021. The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs.

Great Bend will join 15 other western schools in 4A.

In 3A, Larned will play Cheney, Holcomb, Hugoton, Nickerson and Pratt in district play.

In 2A, Hoisington will play Beloit, Ellsworth, Minneapolis, Norton and Phillipsburg in district play.

In 1A, Ellinwood will join Ell Saline, Inman, Oakley, Plainville, Salina Sacred Heart and perennial state powerhouse Smith Center.

In 8-Man 1, St. John will join Kiowa County, Kinsley, La Crosse, Macksville and Skyline.
