NICKERSON 56, LARNED 44

NICKERSON— Nickerson's 6-foot-9 Connor MacDonald was a force inside with his second consecutive triple double to power the Panthers to a 56-44 Central Kansas League upset over No. 10 state-ranked 3A Larned.

MacDonald earned his second consecutive triple double with 17 points and more than double digits in rebounds and blocked shots as the Indians kept driving the ball into the defensive shot-blocking terror. MacDonald scored 16 points with 16 rebounds and 10 blocks when the Panthers lost 64-50 at the St. John Mid-Winter Classic.

Nickerson (6-8, 1-2 CKL) was paced by Cristian Peterson with 19 points. The Panthers had lost two double-digit games to Larned (10-3, 1-2 CKL). Chance Sanger scored 19 points and Layton Crosby added 11 points.
