The Otis-Bison girls defeated South Haven 49-41 to capture the Fairfield Classic basketball title.

OTIS-BISON GIRLS 49, SOUTH HAVEN 41 (1ST) — Maddie Wiltse dominated in the paint with 28 points to spark Otis-Bison's girls past South Haven 49-41 in  Saturday's championship game in the Fairfield Falcon Basketball Classic.

The Cougars (4-0) led 13-0 after one quarter. Wiltse scored 10 first-quarter points and nine fourth-quarter points. Cora Anderson added eight points.

OTIS-BISON BOYS 68, CHASE 33 (3RD) — Maitland Wiltse continued to dominant inside with 22 points to spark the Cougars to third place at the Fairfield Falcon Classic.

The Cougars led 47-16 at halftime.  Jayce Kohls added 12 points.

OTIS-BISON GIRLS 43, FLINTHILLS 21 — The Otis-Bison Cougars outscored Flinthills 21-0 to break an 18-18 tie to advance to Saturday's championship game of the Fairfield Falcon Classic. 

Cora Anderson used the bank shot effectively for 19 inside points and dominating rebounding. Point guard Cristen Trapp played brilliantly with superb ballhandling and passing against pressure defense. All-league Maddie Wiltse missed the game with illness.  

The Cougars swung the momentum when Sidney Schneider and Sheridan Ewy combined to back-to-back scores and assists to each other.

OTIS-BISON GIRLS 48, STAFFORD 20 — Otis-Bison’s Maddie Wiltse scored 23 points and Cora Anderson added seven points and they worked together for assists for each other as their height dominated the Trojans inside in the Fairfield Classic at Kangdon. Sheridan Ewy scored 13 points, highlighted by a trio of 3-pointers. The Cougars converted 18 Stafford turnovers into transition points. The Cougars led 24-10 at halftime.

Stafford’s Emily Green, a stylish guard, scored 11 points. Four Trojans hit the scoring column.

STAFFORD BOYS 59, OTIS-BISON 42 — Otis-Bison’s Jayce Kohls drew the Cougars within 36-35 with his fourth 3-pointer. But Stafford responded with a 15-0 scoring run while keeping the Cougars scoreless for six minutes at the Fairfield Classic at Langdon. 

Stafford’s 6-7 Alex Manojlovic scored 22 points and played well defensively inside. Guard Justice Manning scored 21 points with a variety of driving shots. Matija Ivanovic fed Manojlovic for many of his baskets. The Trojans converted many of the Cougars’ 20 turnovers into transition points.

Cougar Maitland Wiltse scored 12 points and Anton Foust added 10 points, but they combined to convert 10 of 33 field goals against the Trojans’ height. Jayce Kohls added 12 points on four 3-pointers.

STAFFORD BOYS 69, FLINTHILLS 38 — Stafford’s Alek Manojlovic led four players in double figures with 16 points as the Trojans rolled past Flinthills 69-38 to qualify for Saturday’s Fairfield Falcon Classic championship game.

Stafford’s Justice Manning (11), Matija Ivanovic (11) and Dalton Osenbugh (10) all scored in double figures. The Trojans led 42-20 at halftime

FLINTHILLS GIRLS 43, STAFFORD 34 — Stafford’s Emily Green scored 25 points in a sparkling effort as the Trojans lost 43-34 in Monday’s Fairfield Falcon Classic. The Trojans play for fifth place Saturday. Flinthills’ Harley Ratcliff scored 13 points.
