OTIS — Otis-Bison quarterback Anton Foust dominated with seven rushing touchdowns and 291 yards rushing to spark the Cougars past Hutchinson Central Christian 66-52 in Friday's wild 8-Man Division 2 second round playoff game. The Cougars (8-1-1) travel to Dighton (8-2) for a quarterfinal game.
Otis-Bison scored on nine of 33 rushing plays that generated 405 yards keyed by dominant blocking. Seth Hoopingarner added two scores and 114 yards. Anton Foust scored on the first play of a drive on 41- and 50-yard scoring runs. The Cougars outscored Central Christian 22-12 in the fourth quarter.
Central Christian quarterback Caleb Lambert scored five rushing touchdowns and threw for three touchdown passes. Lambert gained 144 yards rushing and threw for 277 yards. The visitors ran 101 offensive plays to dominate time of possession 33:25 to 14:35 in the three-hour football game.
