OTIS – The No. 8 state-ranked 1A Otis-Bison girls earned their 13th consecutive victory heading to a showdown with state powerhouse Central Plains (13-0) Tuesday at Otis. The Oilers have swept six consecutive state titles and 124 consecutive victories.

Otis-Bison (13-0) was led by Cristen Trapp with 17 points and Kearney State (Neb). Signee Maddie Wiltse with 16 points and Cora Anderson with 13 points.

OTIS – Sharpshooting Otis-Bison shocked Sylvan-Lucas 53-43 with six 3-pointers for a 53-43 non-league basketball game. Otis-Bison (3-10) upset Sylvan-Lucas (10-2), the top seeded team in the Central Plains basketball regional.

Jayce Kohls paced the Cougars with 18 points and a trio of 3-pointers. Dalton Regan scored 17 points and Butler added11 points. Sylvan-Lucas’ Jonah Huehl scored 23 points.
