Panthers bowlers roll to victory
LIBERAL – Medalists Paige Wagner (574) and Corbin Stanley (621) led the way for a Great Bend bowling victory over Liberal. The Panthers travel to Wichita for the Great Plains Tournament Saturday.
The Great Bend girls scored 2,461 pins to Liberal’s 2,151. The Panthers won series games 648-552; 700-565; and 644-584. Sahara Rhiza (481) placed runner-up and Nichole Griffin (475) placed third.
The Panther boys outlasted Liberal 2,706 to 2,480. The Panther boys won series games 737-597 and 712-648. Liberal won 745-742. Two-time WAC Bowler of the Year Bryce Moore (579) placed runner-up and Caleb Murphy (541) finished fourth.
