LIBERAL — Great Bend’s Kaylee Reiser (49) placed sixth and Cailee McMullen (50) finished sixth at the 9-hole Liberal Invitational at Willow Tree Golf Course. Golfers faced a 90-degree day with gusty southwest winds shifting to the north when a cold front passed through.

Grace Soupiset (55), Kirsten Miessler (58) and Ashlyn Harbaugh (59) also counted for the Panthers.

“We featured two individual medalists in the varsity division and placed fourth,” said Great Bend coach Travis McAtee. “We didn’t have our best day as we struggled putting on the greens. We’ll continue to work very hard on that aspect to get better.”

Garden City’s Alyssa McMillen (42) earned medalist honors. Hays High (187) placed first ahead of Garden City (201).

In the junior varsity division, Great Bend’s Dakota Baldwin (58) earned first place. Great Bend runner-up Allyson Kaiser (59) was followed by third-place Jordyn Stucky (60).
