Panthers’ Schroeder places third

DODGE CITY – Great Bend singles player Brendyn Schroeder continues to shine with a competitive third-place finish at Thursday’s Dodge City Tennis Invitational. Schroeder (3-1) downed Meade’s Vincent Lynn 8-4 for third place. Great Bend’s Jordan Manning (2-2) placed eighth.

Great Bend’s Isaiah Smith/Malachi Wasson (3-1) downed Meade’s Kody Henson/Orvin Dyck 8-5 for fifth place. Panthers Robert Gutierrez/Marcos Castanon (2-2) placed 13th.

“Overall, I’m pleased with everyone’s performance,” said Great Bend tennis coach Chris Manning. Three of four entries won their first match, which set us up for a good third-place team finish.”
