PHILLIPSBURG – Great Bend’s foursome of No. 5 ranked Triston Tomlinson (26-10, 106); No. 6 Skyler McMullen (28-9, 138); No. 3 ranked Cooper Liles (30-5, 150) and Matthew Johnson (28-9, 175) all finished runner-up at Saturday’s Phillipsburg Tournament.

In championship matches, Beloit’s No. 1 ranked Brogan Monty pinned Tomlinson (1:26); No. 1 ranked Dayton Bell beat McMullen 13-1; Minneapolis’ No. 3 ranked Braylon Smith edged Liles 6-3; and Hoxie’s No. 1 ranked Drew Bretz pinned Johnson (1:18).

Panthers Jace Schartz (34-6, 144) and Kevyen Schroeder (32-9, 215) placed third and Trenton Kern (25-16, 190) finished fourth.

No. 1 ranked 3-1A Hoxie finished first (214) ahead of No. 9 ranked Great Bend (163.5).
