Great Bend’s Cayden Bouse captured seventh medalist honors (46) in Monday junior varsity’s tournament at Stoneridge Country Club. Bouse’s round was highlighted by a birdie 2 on the par 3 sixth hole. Bouse hit an accurate iron shot to 6 feet on the 145-yard hole and converted the putt for the first birdie of his high school career.

Great Bend A (222) finished fourth.

“It was the first high school tournament for seven players after five outside practices,” said Great Bend coach Travis McAtee. “We were pleased with how the kids managed their games.”

The junior varsity competes Monday at Russell.

Garden City (174) finished first led by medalist Aaron Allen (39) and runner-up Zach Warren (43).
