Great Bend's all-state receiver/safety Ian Premer received the Kansas Gatorade Football Player of the Year award at Tuesday's basketball game against Manhattan.

The Notre Dame bound Premer led the Panthers to an 11-1 record and a semifinal finish in the 5A state football playoffs. The Panthers won the Western Athletic Conference the past two years.
