Panthers split duals with Dodge City
DODGE CITY – Great Bend’s trio of state ranked wrestlers – No. 2 Kadin Spragis (106), No. 4 Avery Wolf (113) and No. 3 Wyatt Weber (138) swept their dual matches in a 46-24 loss to Western Conference foe Dodge City.
Great Bend’s state-ranked No. 1 Breckyn Elliott (101) and No. 2 Breanna Ridgeway (126) earned pins as the Panthers won five of eight contested matches to beat Dodge City 36-28.
Others winning for Great Bend’s boys were Skyler McMullen (120) and Scott Heilman (182) as Dodge City swept eight of 13 contested matches. Dodge City’s six state-ranked wrestlers all won their matches.
Great Bend’s other girls winners were Daizy Gomez (120), Jaydon Davis (132) and Alyssa Hinderliter (170) on pins. Dakota Baldwin picked up a forfeit victory.
