RUSSELL — Great Bend's Cole Streck earned third medalist honors (79) and Brantley Baldwin finished fourth (79) to spark the Panthers to a first-place finish (333) at Thursday's Russell Golf Invitational. The north wind blew 20-25 mph with a 71-degree high at Russell Country Club.

Streck's 7-over-par 79 was remarkable after he posted a 5-over-par 10 at No. 2. Streck parred eight holes on the front nine and birdied Nos. 13 and 15 to fashion a 7-over-par round. Baldwin was equally effective with birdies at Nos. 8 and 16 in a solid 7-over-par round.

Panther Cal Dunekack (87) earned eighth-medalist honors and Jayson Effertz (88) captured ninth-medalist honors.

Hays Thomas More Prep's Cam Rozean (75) earned medalist honors over Phillipsburg's Trey Sides (77).  Hoisington's top finisher was 14th-place Drew Nicholson (92).
