DODGE CITY — Great Bend’s volleyball team ventured west and earned a pair of road victories over Dodge City 25-20, 25-20 and Kiowa County 26-24, 25-21. State-ranked Spearville downed the Panthers, 24-26, 25-15, 25-18.

Great Bend (3-3) returns home Monday to play Smoky Valley and Ellinwood. Coach Shelly Duvall leads the Panthers.

KIOWA COUNTY — Jayden Johnson earned Player of the Match with six kills in a 26-24, 25-21 victory.

Alyssa Herter contributed 14 assists, 13 serves and nine digs. Sydney Unruh handled 13 serves and had nine digs. Zoe Jerke had seven assists. Kaylee Unruh handled nine serves. Brynn Boxberger had six kills. Jenna Mauler contributed 12 serves, nine digs, 9 serves received and eight kills. Olivia Mull and Candice Smith also played.

 DODGE CITY — Sydney Unruh earned Player of the Match with 18 digs and 12 serves received in a 25-20, 25-20 victory. 

Herter had 19 assists and six kills. Jerke contributed eight assists. Mauler had 13 digs, 14 serves and 10 serves handled. Boxberger had eight kills. Mull contributed six kills.

SPEARVILLE — The Panthers battled, but came up short against No. 8 1A Spearville. Mauler contributed 16 digs, 11 serves received and 10 kills. Kaylee Unruh had 13 serves handled. Sydney Unruh handed 32 serves with 12 digs. Herter contributed 19 assists, 12 digs and seven kills. Jerke delivered nine assists. Mull had seven assists.
