PAWNEE HEIGHTS 79, BUCKLIN 68

ROZEL — Pawnee Heights all-stater Alec Carlson contributed 36 points, five steals and four steals  to spark the No. 2 ranked 1A Division Tigers past Bucklin 79-68 in a battle of state qualifiers from last year. The Tigers (6-1) converted 9 of 13 shots on 3-pointers.

Dakota Ryan scored 18 points with seven rebounds and Davin Hamby added 16 points with five 3-pointers for the Tigers (5-1). Carlson converted four 3-pointers.

Garin Stimpert scored 21 points and Andrew Bowman scored 18 points and for Bucklin (3-4)

ROZEL — Bucklin's Skyler Stein scored 17 points and Sydnie Jones added 16 points as the Red Aces rolled past Pawnee Heights 60-27 in Tuesday's Southern Plains Iroquois League basketball game.

Abby Hands and Olivia Hands each scored 12 points for the Tigers (2-5).

MACKSVILLE — No. 3 ranked Macksville edged past Cunningham 57-51 in Tuesday's non-league basketball showdown. Alexis Barron scored 20 points and Diego Esparza and Ryan Kuckelman each added 10 points.

Kuckelman dished out six assists. Lance Lickiss had four assists. Barron had four steals.

MACKSVILLE — Macksville's girls roared to a 49-15 halftime lead and coasted past Cunningham 70-24 in Tuesday's non-league basketball game.

Macksville (3-3) was sparked by Mayce Russell and Kamby Adams with 22 points apiece. Adams grabbed 10 rebounds. Russell dished out seven assists. Isabela Ortiz and Russell each had six steals as the Mustangs had 30 steals.
