PAWNEE HEIGHTS BOYS 76, FOWLER 69

FOWLER — The Pawnee Heights boys outscored Fowler 13-6 in overtime to escape with a 76-69 opening basketball victory over Fowler. The Tigers outscored the Goldbugs 21-18 in the fourth quarter.

Tiger Kade Scott scored 20 points — nine points in the fourth quarter and six points in the extra period. Shawn Peterson added 15 points, including nine points in the fourth period and overtime. Kale McCoy added 14 points.

Saul Medina paced Fowler with 17 points and the Goldbugs outscored the Tigers 21-6 on 3-pointers.

WILSON — Otis-Bison’s Cora Anderson scored 15 points and Maddie Wiltse added 14 points as the Cougars rolled past Wilson 46-26 in Friday’s non-league basketball opener.

Stafford’s Emily Green scored 12 points.
