Pratt Greenbacks sweep Indian baseball
LARNED – Pratt’s baseball team powered past Larned 12-2 and 10-3 for a sweep of Tuesday’s Central Kansas league doubleheader. Larned (1-3, 0-2 CKL) plays at Hesston Friday.
PRATT 12, LARNED 2 (G1) – Pratt (4-4, 2-0 CKL) drilled five extra-base hits and scored in all five innings. Cresten Pore drove home three runs. Josiah Schmidt and Chaz Teafatiller each drove home two runs. Pitcher Jayden Mies earned the victory and struck out five batters.
Larned’s Tristan Regan scored on Cade Colglazier’s third-inning sacrifice fly. Ty Smith singled home Mason Miller in the fourth inning.
PRATT 10, LARNED 3 (G2) – Pratt’s Teafatiller, Caleb Strong and Barret Bolen each drove home two runs to spark a 9-hit attack. Owen Schmidt drove home a run.
Larned’s Carson Shaver scored on Deacon Martin’s first-inning triple. Shaver scored on Brady Hope’s third-inning single. Anthony Gonzalez scored on Caden Morgan’s single for a brief 3-2 lead.
Pratt scored the final eight runs, keyed by a 5-run fifth inning.
