Pratt's rally sparks sweep over Cardinals' baseball

PRATT – Pratt rallied from a 8-5 deficit with a 10-run sixth inning for a 15-8 victory over Hoisington in Friday’s Central Kansas League baseball doubleheader. Pratt completed the sweep with a 9-1 victory in the second game.

PRATT 15, CARDINALS 8 (G1) – Pratt scored 11 unearned runs to take advantage of seven Hoisington errors.

Cardinal starter Tony Moore kept Pratt under control for 51/3 innings. Relievers Gratton Dalton and Lance French were unable to overcome four walks, three errors and a hit batter in the sixth inning.

Moore doubled and drove in two runs. Marcus Ingram doubled twice, delivered three hits and drove in a run. French drove home a run.

Pratt’s Noah Riley drove in three runs. Chaz Teafatiller and Barret Bolen each drove home two runs.

PRATT 9, CARDINALS 1 (G2) – Pratt’s pitching worked around seven Cardinal hits. Moore scored the Cardinals’ first-inning run after Dalton singled off Pratt starter Josiah Schmidt. Moore and Dalton each delivered two hits.

Pratt’s Jayden Mies doubled and drove in four runs with two hits. Schmidt and Bolen each drove home two runs for Pratt (4-4, 4-0 CKL).
