Central Plains-74, Macksville-0
CLAFLIN— After a 54-0 Oilers’ lead in the first quarter Central Plains sealed the lid on Macksville in the second period with another 20 points for a 74-0 victory over the visiting Mustangs Friday.
CPHS finished the game with 179 yards of total offense including 111 through the air. The Oilers scored early in the opening quarter as Bryce Miller scampered for five yards into the Mustang end zone.
Central Plains converted all but their last point after attempts.
Defensively Cody Price tallied six tackles while Jacob Warnken returned a 66-yard interception in the second period.

Hoisington-34, Pratt-14
PRATT— The Cardinals remain undefeated while the Greenbacks fell in their first game of the season in a 34-14 Hoisington win Friday.
The Cards are 3-0 following the victory.
The Cardinals took a 7-0 lead into the second quarter and posted a 14-7 run and led at halftime, 21-7. Hoisington spread the gap in the third taking a 28-7 advantage before allowing Pratt one final trip into the end zone in the fourth.
The Cardinals added seven points of insurance in the final period to seal the victory.

Ellinwood-46, Kinsley-0
ELLINWOOD— First year head coach Jason Duvall’s Eagles improved to 2-1 while handing Kinsley their third straight scoreless loss in a dominating 46-0 victory over the visiting Coyotes. Ellinwood bumps their season mark to 2-1 and will travel to Macksville next week.

Stafford-48, Central Christian-46 (OT)
HUTCHINSON— Stafford rallied from a 26-8 halftime deficit en route to a 48-46 overtime victory over Central Christian.
Tied at 40 at the end of regulation the game came down to a missed extra point by the Cougars as Stafford improves to 2-1 in 2015.
Josh Harter posted 14 carries for 50 yards and two touchdowns while Logan Shocklee carried 19 times for 116 yards and a score.
Caleb Hildebrand paced the defense with 17 tackles.

Victoria-52, St. John-6
ST. JOHN— Kevin Neri-Leon caught a 36-yard scoring pass in the first period from Cashe McVey but it was the only time the Tigers saw the opponents end zone as St. John fell 52-6 to state-ranked Victoria.
McVey’s touchdown came with 2:44 remaining in the opening quarter.
The Knights led 46-6 at the break and ended the game on the mercy rule in the third quarter.
Victoria dominated the Tigers with 273 yards of total offense while limiting St. John to 62.

Otis-Bison-58, Ness City-14
The Cougars remain undefeated as Otis-Bison beat Ness City in a 58-14 decision Friday. Details of Friday’s win were not available at press time. Otis-Bison is 3-0 on the season and will travel to Kinsley on Friday, September 25.
