The Otis-Bison High School boys’ basketball team shut down Wilson early on their way to a Class 1A Division-II sub-state semifinal win on Thursday night.
The Cougars shot out to a 29-14 lead at halftime.
Kyle Patrick scored 22 points to lead Otis-Bison.
The Cougars challenge Hutchinson-Central Christian on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. for a chance to go to the 1A D-II state tournament.

Central Plains 38,
St. John-Hudson 26
GREENSBURG — The St. John girls did not go down easy.
The Lady Tigers couldn’t overcome a 13-3 second quarter, though they led 7-5 after the first eight minutes.
The Lady Oilers were led by Reagan Phelan, who scored 16 points.
Taylor Rolfs added 10 points, and Janae Ryan scored nine points for Central Plains.
St. John’s Alexis Witt scored 10 points.
Ellinwood 50,
South Central 32
GREENSBURG — Ellinwood took over right out of the gate, outscoring South Central in each of the first three quarters.
The Lady Eagles were led by Kelsea Ward, who finished with 16 points.
Rachel Doll added 10 points.
Ellinwood advances to a Saturday sub-state championship game against Central Plains, starting at 6 p.m. in Greensburg.
