ST. JOHN — In spite of a 27-point performance from point guard Tanner Tranbarger, Macksville couldn’t top Pratt on Thursday night at the St. John Lions Club Mid-Winter Classic.
Pratt moves on to an 8:15 p.m. semifinal game against Central Plains, while the Mustangs are set to play Ness City on Friday at 4:45.
Jordan Welch and Kaden Herman each finished with eight points for Macksville.

ST. JOHN — Braedan Crites led Central Plains in the opening round of the St. John Lions Club Mid-Winter Classic.
Crites scored 20 points and had three blocks.
Layne Bieberle added 18 points for the Oilers, who advance to play Pratt in a semifinal game tonight at 8:15.
