Central Plains 61, Larned 48
CLAFLIN — The Central Plains High School boys’ basketball team wasted no time taking a huge lead at home against Larned on Friday night.
The Oilers, who are ranked No. 7 in Class 2A in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association poll, led 21-9 after eight minutes and continued to put distance between them and the Indians.
Layne Bieberle scored a game-high 20 points for the Oilers, with Braedan Crites adding 15 points.
Larned was led by Brayden Smith, who finished with 14 points.
Easton Palmer added 10 points for the Indians.

NESS CITY — While Hoisington’s Trent Schremmer led both teams in scoring with 14 points, Ness City led 29-15 at halftime and cruised to a victory.
Schremmer was the only player for the Cardinals in double figures, scoring 12 of his 14 in the second half.
Steffan Dolechek and Christopher Wright added six points apiece.

CLAFLIN — Central Plains, which is ranked No. 9 in 2A, led 37-10 at halftime.
Reagan Phelan led the Lady Oilers with 15 points.
Taylor Rolfs added 12 points, and Breanna Holmes scored 10.
The Lady Indians were led by Tiara Diaz, who finished with seven points.

NESS CITY — Jordin Greer scored 24 points and Rylie Koester added 23 to lead Hoisington over Ness City.
Greer went 9-for-10 from the free-throw line.
Koester had a trio of 3-pointers.
Abbi Demel added six points for the Lady Cardinals.
