CENTRAL PLAINS BOYS 64, ELLSWORTH 49
Oiler Alex Hickel scored 21 points and Devin Ryan added 18 points as defending champion Central Plains rolled past Ellsworth 64-49 in the Morris-Stephens Basketball Classic semifinals.
The Oilers led 30-20 at halftime. Jordan Base scored 16 points and Kaden Davis added 15 points.

Janae Ryan scored 19 points and Emily Ryan added 17 points as No. 1 ranked Class 2A Central Plains roared past Ellsworth 76-30 in Friday’s Morris Stephens Basketball Classic. The Oilers placed Cassidy Crites (11) and Kylee Kasselman (11) in double figures. Ellsworth’s Kolby Davis scored 12 points.

LANGDON – The Otis-Bison girls outscored Flinthills 20-5 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 51-47 semifinal victory to qualify for the Fairfield Falcon Classic championship game.
Taylor Regan led the Cougars with 27 points and Caitlin Schilowsky added 11 points. Alyssa Howard led Flinthills with 16 points.

Chase Fisher muscled inside for 18 points and St. John converted 23 free throws to beat Central Prairie League rival Macksville 65-49 in the Keady Classic semifinals.
Cole Kinnamon and Jorge Calleros scored 13 apiece. Macksville’s Diego Delgadillo scored 17 points.

Sierra Lingafelter’s free throw with 5.4 seconds left lifted the Mavericks past St. John’s girls in the Keady Classic semifinals. Janessa Zenger scored 14 points.
St. John’s Tara Nelson scored 16 points and Bailey Burns added 10 points. The Tigers outscored the Mavericks 24-11 for a 32-31 lead. Burns converted a 3-pointer for a 32-31 lead, but the Mavericks made three free throws.

SPEARVILLE GIRLS 54, LARNED 40
LARNED – Spearville’s girls slapped a 1-2-2 trapping zone on the Larned Indians Friday that slowed Larned’s offense in a 54-40 Lancer semifinal victory in the Keady Basketball Classic.
The zone defense and the fast-breaking playmaking of guard Brook Offerle , spurred Spearville to a 36-14 halftime lead. The pressure defense forced 17 first-half turnovers and the Lancers converted them into easy baskets.
Larned had difficulty solving the zone defense while Spearville, behind Offerle, picked apart the man-to-man defense of the Indians. Spearville led 45-23 after three quarters.
Larned’ fourth-quarter full-court pressure resulted in 10 second-half turnovers as the Indians outscored Spearville 17-9.
Spearville made 13 of 19 trips free throws. Larned made 4 of 13 free throws and shot below 30 percent from the field. Larned totaled 24 turnovers in the rough and tumble battle.
Brook Offerle played an excellent floor game and scored 16 points. Addison Roane added 12 points. Larned’s Kansas Wesleyan signee, Haley Skelton scored 16 points. Kelsey Parr added nine and Ivory Muldrow five.
