OTIS – St. John’s Cole Kinnamon scored 27 points to spark the Tigers past Otis-Bison 71-39 in Tuesday’s Central Prairie League basketball game. The Tigers (18-1, 8-0 CPL) finish unbeaten in league play. Chase Fisher added 14 points. Alexis Valenzuela’s basket gave the Tigers a 64-34 lead and triggered a running clock.
Otis-Bison (13-7, 4-4 CPL) was led by Maitland Wiltse with 12 points and Clade Anderson with 11 points. ST. John and Otis-Bison will be top seeds in next week’s substate basketball tournaments.

OTIS — St. John’s Tara Nelson (14), Kerisa Brown (12) and Bailey Burns (10) scored in double figures in a 49-30 Central Prairie League basketball victory over Otis-Bison.
The Tigers (10-9, 5-3 CPL) converted six 3-point goals. The Tigers play Macksville (10-10) at home Feb. 28 in the Greensburg Class 2A basketball substate. Macksville beat the Tigers 46-42 Feb. 17.
Maddie Wiltse scored seven points for the Cougars, who played without standout Taylor Regan.
Otis-Bison (16-4, 5-3 CPL) will be the top-seed in the Ingalls Class 1A-Div. 2 basketball substate. The Cougars will play the Pawnee Heights (4-15) vs. Western Plains (2-15) winner March 2 at Ingalls.

HOISINGTON – Emma Harmon drilled six first-half 3-pointers and scored 22 points to spark Hoisington’s girls past Pratt 47-22 in a Central Kansas League basketball game.
The Cardinals trailed 5-2 when Emma hit six 3-pointers for a 27-11 halftime lead. Jocelyn Pedigo added 11 points and Vikki Donetz grabbed 14 rebounds. The Cardinals (9-11, 4-6 CKL) outscored Pratt 19-6 in the second period and 11-1 in the fourth period.
“When you hit shots like that, you’re going to look good,” said Hoisington coach Mandy Mason. “Emma was really feeling it. We went to the zone and executed really well tonight. The girls are pretty excited.”
The Cardinals play at Ellsworth in Monday’s Class 3A basketball substate. Pratt (4-16, 1-9 CKL) beat Hoisington 48-30 when the teams met earlier in the season.

HOISINGTON – Pratt outscored Hoisington 22-2 in the second quarter to beat the Cardinals 52-41 in a Central Kansas League basketball game.
The Cardinals (9-11, 5-5 CKL) were led by Brenner Donovan with 12 points and Grant Dolechek with 11 points. The Cardinals will play Beloit in next week’s 3A basketball substate.
Pratt (15-5, 8-2) trailed 11-6, but dominated the next seven minutes for a 28-13 lead. Noah Myers led Pratt with 15 points.
“We didn’t play with passion in the second quarter and they exploited that and went on a run,” said Hoisington coach Brett Rolfs. “We made a run at it and played tough the second half.’
