Bowling teams take first place
The Great Bend High School girls and boys bowling teams claimed first place at the Western Athletic Conference Bakers Tournament on Thursday evening in Garden City. The Lady Panthers were led by Miranda Hejny, who finished in first place overall with a series of 628. Jeff Meitler, the only returning bowler from last years Class 5A state tournament team, led the Panthers with a third-place finish, scoring 641.
