SCOTT CITY — Hoisington athletes won six individual events at Tuesday’s competitive Scott City Relays track meet.

Cardinal gold-medal winners were Samantha Colson, 100 hurdles (16.93); Maleigha Schmidt, pole vault (10-6); Jocelynn Pedigo, discus (107-8); Dayne Yott, 1,600m (4:55.61); Xavier Robinson, triple jump (42-61/4); and Jake Curtis, javelin (164-1).
Runner-up finishes were posted by Colson, 300 hurdles (50.37); Suzanna Schneider, 200 (28.25) and Christopher Ball, 110 hurdles (15.44) and pole vault (13-6).
The Hoisington girls finished fourth (61) behind team champion Scott City (90.66). The Cardinal boys placed third (65) behind champion Scott City (130).
Scott City’s outstanding Marshall Faurot swept four events — the state’s fifth-best 100 hurdles (14.84), 300 hurdles (50.65); high jump (6-2) and the state’s best pole vault (16-0).
