HOISINGTON — Hoisington High School enters its 2010-2011 season with five state qualifiers from last season, including sophomore Chance Demel, who finished in sixth place in the 135-pound weight class at the Class 3-2-1A state tournament last season.
Dalton Bell, Ethan Soeken, Zach Sanders and Eric Hellerud are the other four state qualifiers who return this season.
Hoisington’s biggest weakness is only having one wrestler within the weight classes of 103 to 125: f reshman Russell Birt, who wrestles in the 112 weight class. The Cardinals have no wrestlers at 103, 118 or 125.
