Central Plains girls reach Hilltop finals

The No. 1 ranked Class 2A Central Plains girls beat league rival St. John 49-36 Thursday to qualify for Friday's championship game of the Hilltop Hoops Classic. 
The Oilers (11-0) took charge with a 17-0 run for a 18-2 lead.
The Oilers were paced by Reagan Phelan with 20 points and Taylor Rolfs added 13 points. Central Plains plasy Moundridge in Friday's 8:15 p.m. finals after the Wildcats beat Bennington 52-51.
St. John's Ashlyn Fisher scored 12 points.
