PLANVILLE — Central Plains all-stater Emily Ryan scored 41 points with nine assists and seven steals as the No. 1 Oilers rolled past Plainville 85-25 Tuesday. The Oilers (16-0) led 33-2 after one quarter and 56-7 at halftime.
Delaney Rugan scored 16 points and Rachel Lamatsch added 10 points. The Oilers won their 74th consecutive game and are 119-1 over the past five seasons. Ryan is averaging 37 ppg and is shooting 71 percent from the field.

The Tigers (9-7) also placed Dalton Hamby (14) in double figures. Deerfield’s Mata sank seven 3-pointers for 21 points. The Tigers play at Coldwater-South Central Friday.

MACKSVILLE — Macksville’s red-hot Kaleb Lickiss continues to perform at a high level with 22 points to spark the Mustangs past Kinsley 68-39 in Tuesday’s Central Prairie League basketball game.
Macksville (12-4, 5-2 CPL) placed Karson Waters (13), Jacob Rein (13) and Kody Mead (10) in double figures. Rein contributed six assists. Waters had four assists and two steals. Parr dished out four assists with two steals. Trevor Freeman had two steals. The Mustangs play at Fowler Friday.

ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood’s Madison Ward made sure the Eagles captured its first basketball victory with 26 points, seven rebounds and four steals in a 43-34 Central Prairie League victory Tuesday. Ward converted 10 of 15 field goals.
Ellinwood (1-14, 1-4 CPL) outscored the Eagles 17-10 in the fourth quarter. Becca Henderson passed out six assists and Kaitlyn Panning had five assists. Ness City (0-16, 0-6 CPL) trailed 26-22 after three quarters. Ellinwood travels to Kinsley Friday.
