Oiler Regan Phelan enjoyed a vintage game with 13 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds to spark the Central Plains girls past Little River 77-16 at the Barton Hilltop Hoops Classic. Phelan also contributed five steals.
Also scoring in double figures for the No. 1 ranked Class 2A Oilers were Janae Ryan (14), Cassity Crites (11), Kylee Kasselman (11) and Taylor Rolfs (10). The Oilers converted 32 of 56 field goals and led 49-4 at halftime.
Crites and Rolfs each had five steals and Rolfs dished out four assists. The Oilers (10-0) made six 3-pointers.

Ness City girls edged Ell-Saline 58-54 at the Barton Hilltop Hoops Classic Monday. McKenna Fritts scored 16 points. Tiana Epperson added 14 points. Alexis Clarke had seven assists and four steals.
Ell-Saline’s Morgan Kindlesparger and Sydney Omli each scored 15 points.
