Central Plains, Otis-Bison players to compete in 8-man All-Star Game

BELOIT — Central Plains Oilers Trey Schulte and James Radenberg have been selected to compete for the West squad in the 32nd Kansas 8-Man All Star Football game Saturday, June 10.
The Division I game will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Trojan Field. Teams will be introduced at 1 p.m.
Schulte plans to study physical therapy. He earned all-state eight-man honors in the offensive line. The Oilers captured the 2014 eight-man state title and lost to 2015 state champion in the 2015 playoffs.
He was powerlifting state-runner-up., Schulte enjoys hunting and fishing and was Vice President of his class and participated in track and powerlifting. His parents are Claflin’s Greg and Denise Schulte.
Radenberg will study engineering at Kansas State University. He was an honorable mention all-state choice at center.
The First United Methodist Church member serves as an usher and the Faith In Motion Youth Group. His hobbies include playing the guitar, farming and hunting.
The class Valedictorian was a National Honor Society member and a Kansas Honors selection. He competed in powerlifting and track. He participated in the all-school play, band and student government and FFA. His parents are Claflin’s John and Debbie Radenberg.
EIGHT-MAN 2 — Competing in the Eight-Man 2 All-Star Game will be Otis-Bison’s Brad Lightfoot and Kade Urban and Otis-Bison coach Travis Starr.
The Division 2 game will be held at 10 a.m. at Trojan Field. Teams will be introduced at 9;30 a.m.
