Central Plains wins CPL golf title

ELLINWOOD — Medalist Bryce Miller shot 6-over-par 70 and runner-up Alex Hickel (74) led Central Plains to the Central Prairie League Golf Championship Tuesday at Grove Park Golf Course.
The Oilers posted a 302 team score. Also counting for the Oilers were fourth-place medalist John Ross Moran (78) and sixth-place medalist Kyle Lewis (80).
Posting top 10 finishes were Ellinwood’s Theron Sjogren, third (78); Connor Ewing, seventh (83); and Myles Menges, 10th (84); and St. John’s Cole Kinnamon, fifth (79); Cade Roberts, eighth (83); and Jacob Milton, ninth (83).

Oilers win Trinity tourney

HUTCHINSON — Runner-up Alex Hickel of Central Plains led the OPilers to first place at the Hutchinson Trinity Tournamnent at The Highlands Golf Club Monday.
Hickel shot 77, three strokes behind Sedgwick’s Owen Gartner. Top 10 finishers were St. John’s Cole Kinnamon, third (79); Central Plains’ Bryce Miller, fourth (84); Central Plains’ Kyle Lewis, eighth, (92); and Pawnee Heights’ Roger Klenke, ninth (93).
